We are aware that the CQC are currently undertaking an urgent and emergency care system wide inspection and are currently at Liverpool University Hospitals Trust.

As part of this inspection, inspectors and reviewers will be looking at how patients flow through the system via our internal and external pathways.

If CQC visit your team or service, please can you do the following:

  • Ask to see their ID badges
  • Inform your line manager
  • Line manger to inform the Quality and Compliance team and the senior leadership team via: CQCteam@merseycare.nhs.uk
  • The Quality and Compliance team will inform the Executive team within an hour of the notification of the inspector’s arrival
  • All information requests must come through the Quality and Compliance team
  • Once an inspector or reviewer leaves the site, the person in charge must complete a debrief document which needs to be shared with the Quality and Compliance team ASAP.
