Our first cohort of community internship students celebrated completing their nurse training as they prepare to take the next step as qualified nurses in a career in community nursing.
The practice education team, along with Claire McEntegart, assistant director of nursing, have worked in collaboration Joanna Lavery at Liverpool John Moores University to launch and support the initiative.
The intern students joined Mersey Care in October and have completed all of their third year clinical placements in the Trust.
All 10 have successfully gained employment in community nursing settings and we look forward to welcoming them back to our clinical teams in the autumn as newly qualified nurses.
