STOPTOBER has driven over 2.1 million quit attempts to date and is the biggest mass quit attempt in the country. It’s based on research that shows if you can stop smoking for 28-days, you are five times more likely to stay smokefree for good.
To help people prepare and remain smokefree during Stoptober, we have produced a short animation, packed with useful tips and advice.
Stoptober offers a range of support to help people on their quitting journey, including an app, daily emails, e-cigarettes and lots of encouragement from the Stoptober online community.
In your adult years the lifestyle choices you make can dramatically increase your chances of becoming ill and smoking is still the biggest cause of preventable deaths in England.
Making changes can improve your health right away and considerably increase your chances of staying healthy. Some of the benefits to your health include: carbon monoxide levels, blood pressure and pulse returning to normal, breathing becoming easier and energy levels increasing.
