After the incident on Sunday involving Liverpool Women’s Hospital, we want to update staff: 

  • This matter continues to be addressed through the Trust’s incident management process led by Gold on Call (the Trust lead who takes command during a major operation or incident). This group continues to monitor the situation and coordinate our response and we will share information with staff as appropriate.
  • All approaches by the media or the press, including through social media, must be referred to the communications team or during out of hours to the On Call system. Please do not comment or share information online. You can contact Communications@merseycare.nhs.uk. If out of hours, please call switchboard on 0151 473 0303.
  • For staff that require any support with managing any Safeguarding or Prevent related concerns, please seek advice from your line manager, or contact the trust’s safeguarding duty lines below within normal working hours Monday to Friday:
