The Mental Health Law team is pleased to announce that Stephen McGrath has recently started in the role of Mental Capacity Lead Professional for Mid Mersey Division. This new role will provide advice and enhanced support to Mid Mersey colleagues with the application of the Mental Capacity Act. Stephen is available to support your team with complex matters relating to mental capacity, including assessments, with the aim of strengthening colleagues’ understanding and confidence in the application of mental capacity legislation within their role.
Stephen is conducting site visits to introduce himself to Mid Mersey teams and understand their experiences and confidence in applying the Mental Capacity Act.
