Changes to breakaway training for inpatient staff in mid Mersey division
As all breakaway training for inpatient staff in clinical roles will now be delivered as part of the personal safety service (PSS) training, the separate breakaway competence will soon be removed from your training matrix on ESR. This will align the training offer with existing Mersey Care requirements and avoid any confusion about whether staff need to attend stand-alone breakaway sessions.
If you are currently out of date with breakaway training and also have to do PSS training, you will not be required to complete breakaway training until you attend PSS training.
