Work has commenced to align the three walk-in centres in Knowsley (Halewood, Kirkby and Huyton) to the existing management structure within the Community Division, so there is a single operational framework. This proposal to integrate the services is due to the increased demands, reduced capacity and shared risks and issues being experienced across both divisions.
By having one leadership structure working together, we hope to combine the best learning, whilst also ensuring a consistent delivery of care. We anticipate this merger will take place early to mid-December 2021.
