The 5, 4, 3, 2,1 technique involves you concentrating on your senses and what is around you. Name 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell and 1 thing you can taste.

Take a break and read a book or go for a walk. Listening to music can help you connect to your emotions and distract you from your worrying thoughts.
