The theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day (WMHD) is ‘Mental Health at Work’ and we want to spotlight the variety of support available throughout the year for staff to help maintain and improve their mental wellbeing.

Our Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service provide a range of support and resources via our Staff Wellbeing Hub

As part of World Mental Health Day, our service’s Health and Wellbeing Team will be offering various activities to spotlight support for our staff community’s mental health.

Mental Health First Aid training 9 and 10 October

We have trained 150 MHFAiders across the Trust and we are keen to keep growing our network. Why not consider becoming a MHFAider and play an active role in supporting fellow colleagues?

Mental Health First Aiders develop the skills to spot signs of people experiencing poor mental health. Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services are now running courses on behalf of the organisation, with the aim of training more colleagues to be able to support the mental wellbeing of staff within the Trust.

Journey to Wellbeing 11 October and 29 November

In this session we will discuss the holistic elements involved in wellbeing improvement, including self care, the stress response and personal resilience using an individualistic approach.

Pause for Thought Roadshow 14 to 18 October

Pause for Thought Menopause Roadshow 2024.jpgMenopause can have a significant impact on mental wellbeing.

The Health and Wellbeing team will be out and about across sites to speak our colleagues about their menopause journey. We will also be on hand to give information to colleagues who want to support their team members, partners, family or friends in their menopause journey.
