National Apprenticeship Week gives us an opportunity to join nationwide celebrations to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy. Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust will be hosting a celebration of learning where our apprentices will be congratulated on their achievements. Throughout the week we will share apprenticeship stories and host a range of information sessions and apprenticeship workshops. National Apprenticeship Week 2024 takes place from the 5th to the 11th of February 2024.

Widening Participation is a strategic framework for the development of the healthcare support workforce, it has been developed by Health Education England, supported by the national Social Partnership Forum. For more information here
Functional skills English and Maths are essential subjects that are included in most training and education programmes. They are a required component of all Apprenticeships. Functional Skills can be studied as stand-alone qualifications or as part of an apprenticeship programme.
Available at various Levels this range of FREE sector-specific continuing professional development (CPD) qualifications are designed by sector specialists in partnership with NHS employers.
These distance learning courses are aimed at adults over 24 and are the perfect option for employees /volunteers to upskill and progress careers. They are designed for people to develop an understanding of the importance of mental and physical health/ wellbeing, as well as effective communication and management in a workplace setting.
The aim of the module is to develop your knowledge and skills in the delivery of clinical support to people requiring therapy/ treatment and services during their lifespan.
Aligned with the Trainee Nurse Apprenticeship standards so through the completion of this module it may be considered as a gateway qualification to progress onto Level 5 Apprneitcship programmes.
