Please note that there is no change in instruction to Trust staff following the implementation of Government Plan B and the announcement made by Boris Johnson last week about urging people to work from home.
It is at the discretion of employers as to how staff continue working safely. Home working is one way to do this and is Government advice for those who are able to do so. Workplaces can be made safe by following COVID-19 secure guidelines for those who need to be in the work environment. Your manager will discuss with you how you can work safely, and must make sure your workplace is safe.
Clinical colleagues and other staff who must attend their place of work to carry out their duties should continue to do so.
Colleagues who have been working remotely should agree with their line manager or clinical service manager the most appropriate location to work and effectively carry out their roles. Where there are any concerns or questions, please liaise with your manager.
Service user and patient facing corporate colleagues, for example: Life Rooms, Safeguarding, Infection Prevention and Control must liaise with your line manager about working safely.
Corporate colleagues, for example: Finance, Workforce, IM, wherever practicable, should continue to home work. Managers will continue to work with colleagues who are unable to home work on the best solution to enable them to fulfil their roles.
Please also be aware of Home working tax relief and our Working from home guidance.
