Data protection is about safeguarding individuals, not just managing systems. It may have been an admin error, but nationally some patients and service users have had to leave home as a result.
As Mersey Care staff, you must handle personal information with care and empathy, recognising a data breach's profound impact on someone’s life. Promptly report breaches, communicate openly, support those affected, and use available resources to prevent future breaches. Foster a culture of accountability and compassion.
