Two members of staff have been awarded the Queen's Nurse Award! The title of Queen’s Nurse (QN) is available to individual nurses who have demonstrated a high level of commitment to patient care and nursing practice.
Denise Davies
Denise Davies, Specialist Community Public Health School Nurse, School Health Team South Sefton has been awarded a Queen's Nurse Award.
Denise has been awarded for her work within the community.
Her team have said: Denise is an inspirational member of the team and I’ve never met a more compassionate and caring person and an amazing school nurse and she fully deserves the title of ‘Queens Nurse. Denise will always put 100% into her work and is passionate about supporting the children, young people and families on her caseload.
Denise is valued and well regarded by her colleagues and her schools which evidences that she has worked hard to build those relationships. Denise has a plethora of knowledge, skills and experience of school nursing, which she shares with her colleagues daily. Denise supports not only children and young people but their families too by working with local organisations to ensure families have food and provisions. Denise also supports with obtaining/organising Christmas gifts/Easter eggs for family’s annually who cannot afford to buy them.
Hannah Molyneux
Hannah Molyneux, Safeguarding Adult Specialist Nurse has also been awarded the title of Queen's Nurse from The Queen's Nursing Institute.
Hannah was awarded the title for her contribution towards delivering and leading outstanding care in community nursing with a focus on her current role as a Safeguarding Adults Nurse
Her team are all very proud of Hannah achieving this title.
Denise and Hannah will receive their badge and certificate on 8 December - well done to you both!
