From Monday, 24 February 2025, current public procurement legislation (Public Contract Regulations 2015) will be replaced by the Procurement Act 2023.
Although the key principles of public sector procurement will still apply, the new Act requires increased transparency, involving a range of mandatory notices to be published via a new central digital portal, accessible to all parties, potentially impacting on some of the Trust’s procurement processes.
Further communications will be issued after this has been implemented to provide any updates. Procurement’s Divisional Business Partners are also on hand to assist with any queries in relation to the Act, and the Procurement team will be holding generic procurement awareness sessions in the coming months where more information will also be available.
