A group of staff from our learning disabilities, autism and neurodiversity services came together to learn how to get involved in research.

It was the start of a new drive to encourage more staff from different disciplines to consider undertaking research, including clinical audits and evaluation, as part of their role.

The aim is to embed research into practice across Mersey Care, as part of a culture of learning and improvement.

With thanks to speakers including Alina Haines-Delmont ad Katie Goodall of Manchester Metropolitan University; Kathryn Berzins of NIHR ARC NWC; and from Mersey Care - organiser Michaela Thomson; Dr Jade Thai; Kirsty Meehan; Paul Burdon; Ashley Bruen; Lisa Patterson and Alex Cookson.
