This week is Birth Trauma Awareness Week. The UK All Party Parliamentary Group on Birth Trauma released the report Listen to Mums: Ending the Postcode Lottery on Perinatal Care in May this year. The report draws on over 1,300 submissions from individuals with lived experience and insights from nearly 100 maternity professionals. It presents an urgent need for a fundamental shift in the provision of maternity services across the United Kingdom.
The team from Silver Birch Hubs (Maternal Mental Health Service for Cheshire and Merseyside) are pleased to share with you this webinar in which the multi discipline team will present an overview of the Inquiry report, some reflections on what these findings mean for our service users and providers and thoughts on how we can use this learning to influence practices in maternity and mental health care.
The webinar will be suitable for all professionals working with perinatal women, birthing people and partners.
