From 6 December the elearning will include an initial competency test at the end of each module. The training is available online via eLearning systems (ESR training portal), or as part of a cascade model for your team.

More than 65 percent of staff across local and secure divisions have already completed eRisk training and it is expected that those delivering patient care complete the eRisk training within nine months.

Over the last six months Mid Mersey staff have been asked to watch the safety plan refresher video in preparation for the roll out of the Mersey Care eRisk training. It is now expected that all Mid Mersey staff involved in delivering patient care complete the eRisk training within nine months of its launch date. This is mandatory for staff delivering patient care in our mental health services and staff in our physical health services may also benefit from developing awareness and skills in this area.

If anyone has any questions, before, during or after completing the training please contact the Safe from Suicide Team Safefrom.Suicide@merseycare.nhs.uk. There is also a Safe from Suicide drop-in held once a month (on the second Tuesday, 10am to 12.30pm) that you can attend if you have any queries – if you would like to attend email Safefrom.Suicide@merseycare.nhs.uk.
