Last November we told staff about a new system called Empactis. The new telephone based Absence Manager System will first be introduced in Local Division this spring then in stages to other divisions.
The call you make to report an unplanned absence (such as if you’re sick) will be to an automatic system. This means the questions will be consistent for all when it asks about specific issues.
The system requires you to identify yourself with your assignment number. You can find yours on the top left hand corner of your payslip. Now’s a good time to make sure you’re familiar with your assignment number and have it to hand should you need to report an absence.
