Our recruitment team organised and ran an amazing event last week specifically to recruit mental health and learning disability nurses. The event was opened by Clare Pratt, Associate Director of Nursing and it was fully supported on the day by staff from three of our divisions – Local, Mid Mersey, Secure and Specialist LD, who all provided fascinating insight into their services with presentations, followed up by our practice education facilitators.
We offered 46 nurses roles within the Trust on the day with their preferred divisions as follows:
- Local 18 candidates
- Mid Mersey 7 candidates
- Secure and Specialist LD 21 candidates (potential for a further two who couldn’t make it to interview).
There’s still more to do to fill our vacancies so these events will be replicated throughout the year and will involve roles in our community division too. Meanwhile, if you’re aware of anyone who is starting a career or returning to practice, please ask them to look at our vacancies on the website.
