If any teams or individuals from the Trust are approached by the media, please refer them to our Communications Team, as soon as possible so they can deal with the request on your behalf.

The Communications Team have the professional expertise to identify key messages to ensure Mersey Care’s services are promoted factually in all interviews and can evaluate whether a media enquiry could be a reputational risk for the Trust.

Before interview requests are granted, the Communications Team must also get permission in advance from NHS England and Improvement at regional and national level as the NHS is still regarded as being at a Level Four incident level following the COVID-19 pandemic.
