The Clinical Senate was held on 25 June. The event was well attended and focused on the development of our Clinical Improvement Plan 2024 to 2028. Trish Bennett opened the day and stressed the importance of the multidisciplinary voice in the development of our plan which aims to improve care for our service users and patients.
Dr Noir Thomas shared the progress on our Perfect Care goals and thoughts on our priorities moving forwards. We heard about NHS Impact, Reducing Restrictive Practice and HOPE(S), Culture of Care in Mental Health and clinical outcomes. The afternoon session focussed on the ‘whole person’ and what this means, with an excellent talk delivered by Dr Alex Cookson and people with lived experience about our new Learning Disability and Autism Strategic Plan.
Thank you to everyone who attended and also to the speakers.
