From 1 February 2022, our payroll provider at St Helens and Knowsley will be implementing a new telephone system. This is being implemented following feedback from staff across the trust experiencing difficulties contacting the team. They are aware whilst many calls are for payroll, many queries could be dealt with by managers, roster team, expenses as well as other teams across the trust.
The phone system will swap over to a call waiting system so when colleagues call the Mersey Care payroll team number they will automatically go through the new system.
Colleagues will be greeted with pre-recorded messages, options to choose from depending on the query at the time and will also be informed what position they are in the queue. Options have been setup for staff to listen to allowing them to be directed to appropriate team.
This system is only in place for the wider Mersey Care who use 0151 290 4654. The number for Mid Mersey is still 0151 290 4690, however this team can also be reached by pressing option 5 on the wider Mersey Care number.
