This procedure describes the systems and processes in place throughout Mid Mersey Division, to provide safe and effective care during a clinical emergency situation or resuscitation event. This procedure applies to all staff based within the Mid Mersey Division (this will include Marlowe, Tennyson and Chesterton units based at Hollins Park and Litherland Walk in-Centre due to the locality of these services and the resuscitation equipment they currently use) and provides direction for staff regarding their roles, responsibilities and actions in order to provide care and summon assistance in clinical emergency situations.

MM-SOP-H-001 - Halton Recovery Team Procedure
The Recovery Team provides core hours of a 9am-5pm Monday – Friday service. (However flexibility is built into these hours depending upon service user need). The Recovery Team accepts referrals from the Trusts secondary Adult Mental Health Teams, the Criminal Justice Liaison teams, Older Peoples Services (for those with functional conditions) and the inpatient wards. Integrated teams with the local authority also accept direct referrals.

MMD-PROC-015 - Absent Without Leave AWOL Procedure
The purpose of this procedure is to ensure an effective and consistent response to reports of service users who are either detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA) 1983 (as amended 2007) or under Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) as per the Mental Capacity Act (2005) who abscond from an in-patient setting; are absent without leave (AWOL); or fail to return from a period of leave and how to return them safely to the ward if appropriate.
