This Policy describes the application of the Trust Lease Vehicle Scheme of Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust. It consolidates all previous policies. The scheme is available to all colleagues who meet the necessary criteria, or where the Trust has agreed a lease car as part of an colleague’s remuneration package. All colleagues will be expected to participate in the scheme if it is deemed to be economically viable.

Evidence from the National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Homicide yearly reports suggest that any patient who is discharged from a mental health inpatient environment are at their highest risk of relapse or harm within the first 72 hours. The aim of the service is to provide Children and Young People with an Eating Disorder Service which is fully integrated within a Community Children/Young People's Mental Health Service. This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) describes the operational aspects from first referral of point of entry into CEDS to discharge from service.
