It is now expected that all NHS organisations will implement the Patient Safety Syllabus as part of mandatory training. 

As we learn to live with COVID-19, preserving and protecting the physical, mental and psychological health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues and patients whilst keeping them well remains a priority within the Trust. 

Each year across the NHS, more than 75,000 staff experience physical violence and aggression, which is why we operate zero acceptance of racism, discrimination and disrespectful behaviour. In order to gain a better understanding of how safe you feel in your working environment, and to help reduce the number of incidents, we are asking all staff to complete this short survey.

The team have shared some updates on YourSpace including 350 Enhanced EDS Dysphagia Level 2 e-Learning for colleagues who provide direct support to individuals who have or are at risk of eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties. Fit Testing will also be reintroduced for key clinical colleagues, following the increase of measles.

As part of the transfer to Mersey Care, Informatics Merseyside will be migrating IT services, taking effect from 1 June.
