There delay in processing of samples at Liverpool Clinical Laboratories (LCL) due to a technical issue affecting their respiratory category 3 facility is ongoing.

Brook Place addictions service, has a lot to celebrate as it’s the only service in England not only to micro-eliminate Hep C amongst service users, and retain elimination for eight months, but more significantly to have tested virtually all of the people who access the service, not just those people who have a history of injecting.

A new spot check will appear under your team on the Ward and Area Section of AMaT from 26 February (the section where you complete your CQC Self-Assessment and Mid Mersey IPC Hand Hygiene Audit).

The Trust currently has two separate instances of the Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) and Pharmacy Stock Control (PSC) system. As part of the wider Trust systems harmonisation project, the medicines management digital team is working hard to merge the systems into a new and upgraded single instance of EPMA and PSC. 

This weekend there will be some EPMA downtime, this is only relevant to Local, Secure and Stoddart House (Community). Mid Mersey division will not be affected.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has played a key role in responding to the coronavirus pandemic. In relation to COVID-19 vaccines, the MHRA has authorised their supply following rigorous reviews of their safety, quality and effectiveness. They continue to monitor their performance throughout their use.
