Mental Health Care Division
Mental Health Care Division provides a spectrum of mental health services including adult mental health, older adult mental health, addiction, acquired brain injury services, psychology and crisis care in people’s homes, community settings and hospitals.
We also provide mental health liaison services within Accident and Emergency departments in local hospitals and within the criminal justice system. Services are provided to the residents of Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Warrington.

This is an operating model for police and partners that seeks to make sure the public is provided with the right care, responded to by the right person with the right skills, training and experience to best meet their needs. Our Mental Health Care Division and NHS Informatics Merseyside are delighted to have been shortlisted in the category: Improving mental health through digital, for implementation of the What3words system which allows our staff to locate people who call the crisis line, in crisis.

Our newly formed Mental Health Liaison Team based at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH) recently presented at their Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) assessment day, on how data analytics were used to develop the team (and improve it further).
