The Multi-Ethnic Colleagues staff network are hosting a Black History Month event at V7 Building on 30 October 2023. It will provide staff with awareness of issues that fit the anti-racism Trust strategy.
The event will focus on ‘Celebrating Sisters’ and will feature strong black women from our Trust telling their stories, sharing poetry and commemorating the achievements of our wonderful Black women.
We invite Black female staff to participate in the event by reciting poignant poems, showcasing art, telling their stories and/or sending in self-portraits in uniform or traditional attire for our celebration wall.

This event is especially poignant with the 75 years of the NHS coinciding with the 75th anniversary of Windrush.
There will be food on the day including some West Indian food and sandwiches.
