The Plaza Cinema are showing 'White Christmas' on Thursday 9 December at 2pm, as one of their Dementia friendly screenings. Doors open from 1.20pm and the film will start at 2pm.
Screenings will take place in screen 1, the large art deco screen, newly restored to its art deco glory, to recreate the experience of going to the pictures. This is also easily accessible for wheelchair users.
Low level of lighting will be maintained throughout the screening and the volume of the film can be adjusted to suit the needs of the audience. Visitors will be supported by Dementia Friends trained staff.
There will be an interval half way through the film for tea, coffee and biscuits to be served.
